Dismiss Sexual Assault Lawsuit: Kevin Liles’ Response

The renowned figure in the Hip Hop music industry, Kevin Liles, is currently in the process of attempting to formally dismiss a serious sexual assault lawsuit that has been filed against him. This legal action has garnered significant media attention due to the serious nature of the allegations.

On Tuesday, Kevin submitted new legal documents in which he formally requested the court’s permission to file a motion aimed at dismissing the lawsuit. This lawsuit was initiated earlier this year by a woman who alleges that he raped her in 2002 while he was serving as an executive at Def Jam Recordings, a prominent music label known for its influential artists.

According to the recently obtained legal documents reviewed by TMZ, Kevin is preparing to argue for the dismissal of the case based on the assertion that the woman delayed too long in filing her claims. He contends that the statute of limitations on her allegations has expired, making it legally untenable for the lawsuit to proceed.

In addition, Kevin asserts that the lawsuit is filled with allegations that he describes as “entirely false.” He further claims that the specific details provided by his accuser are insufficient for the case to advance in court, suggesting that the lack of clarity undermines the credibility of the accusations.

In a previous report, it was revealed that Liles was sued in February by a woman identified only as Jane Doe. She claimed to have worked under him at Def Jam and alleged that she was subjected to persistent sexual harassment. The lawsuit states that he allegedly pressed his body against her inappropriately and groped her, and when she rejected his advances, he assaulted her sexually.
