What Happened in the Case of the 7-Year-Old Boy Found in a Freezer?
According to NBC Los Angeles, on Tuesday, October 28, authorities were called to an apartment in the Lynwood neighborhood to perform a welfare check on a child. At the scene, authorities reportedly discovered the 7-year-old’s body in the freezer. Subsequently, the child’s mother, father, and grandmother were taken into custody.
What Are the Charges Against Destiny Harrison, Daniel Monzon, and Ana Zarceno-Carcamo?
Per the outlet, Destiny Harrison was ultimately arrested on “suspicion of murder.” Meanwhile, the seven-year-old’s father and grandmother were arrested on “suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.” CBS News reports that each of the trio is being held on $2 million bail.
At this time, information regarding the identity, the date of passing, and the cause of death of the 7-year-old boy has not been released.
Meanwhile, authorities reportedly removed three other children found in Harrison and Monzon’s household: a 16-year-old, a 13-year-old, and a nine-month-old baby. NBC Los Angeles asserts that the children have been placed in protective custody.
“This is an unimaginable and horrific tragedy. I stand ready to support the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as they investigate this child’s death. My heart breaks for what the other children in this home must have experienced,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn reportedly told the press.

As The Shade Room previously reported, in August 2024, authorities arrived at the home of David Michael Gibson. They were reportedly there to conduct a welfare check on his dad.
Ultimately, when police entered the home, they found the body of Gibson’s elderly father in a chained fridge. Furthermore, authorities called the man’s body “badly decomposed.” Additionally, they noted their suspicion of Gibson “living in the house with those remains.”
