In a bold move, the Trump Organization has addressed the “conflict of interest” question surrounding its business endeavors during Donald Trump’s presidency. The latest announcement is the launch of Trump Mobile, a new mobile phone service that aims to resonate with consumers who share the family’s values. The service will feature a smartphone priced at $499, along with a subscription plan designed to enhance user experience.

Eric Trump, who manages the Trump Organization on behalf of his father, proudly unveiled this new revenue-generating initiative on Monday, June 16. He stated that consumers deserve access to a mobile phone that not only meets their needs but also aligns with their values as hard-working Americans.
“Hard-working Americans deserve a wireless service that’s affordable, reflects their values, and delivers reliable quality they can count on,” Eric emphasized, highlighting the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
During a media interview, Eric Trump asserted that “eventually” all Trump Mobile phones will be manufactured in the U.S., aiming to “bring manufacturing back.” However, the timeline for when the initial batch will be produced remains uncertain. A spokesperson from the Trump Organization informed The Wall Street Journal that manufacturing for the new phone will take place in Alabama, California, and Florida, showcasing a commitment to American jobs.
Key Features of the Upcoming Trump Mobile Smartphone
The new, gold-colored T1 Phone is set to launch in August. T1 Mobile has also committed to maintaining a customer service center within the U.S., specifically located in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s important to note that President Trump and the Trump Mobile brand will not be directly involved in the design or manufacturing processes of the phone itself, as these responsibilities will be delegated to another American company.
The monthly service offering, known as The 47 Plan, priced at $47.45, cleverly references Trump’s two terms in office, the 45th and the upcoming 47th. This plan will include unlimited calls, text messages, and data, in addition to free roadside assistance and telehealth services. Operating on the Android platform, the smartphone’s mock-up showcases Trump’s slogan “Make America Great” prominently on the front and features an etched American flag on the back, appealing to patriotic consumers.
Social Media Buzz Surrounding Trump Mobile’s Launch
Following the announcement, social media platforms have erupted with user reactions. Over 3,000 comments flooded The Shade Room’s section, with discussions about the smartphone trending on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram’s Threads. This level of engagement illustrates the public’s keen interest in the venture.

Trump is pushing tariffs that can raise prices on iPhones and other smartphones, and then turns around and promotes his own Trump Phone. So, using the presidency to potentially jack up competitors’ costs while hawking your own product? Got it. https://t.co/1vfiztAQxa

These grifting, morally bankrupt motherfuckers will do absolutely anything to make a penny. Listen to Trump crime family member Eric Trump admit that ZERO of Trump Mobile’s phones will be made in the USA. NOT. FUCKING. ONE. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👇 pic.twitter.com/EPvKcR7bc7

My friend just bought a Trump Mobile phone. It only allows you to text in CAPS, the payment has to be made out to cash, the spell check misspells every word, and Siri is Laura Loomer. pic.twitter.com/OJFRs6xUAl

By opting for a licensing model, the Trump family is mitigating its financial risk, but there are still apprehensions regarding how federal regulators will respond to the mobile carriers partnered with Trump Mobile for 5G network access. Eric Trump revealed that their partners are likely the three largest mobile network providers in America, which include Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
However, Trump Mobile is entering a fiercely competitive market that includes numerous companies that President Trump has publicly criticized. For instance, Trump recently targeted Apple for planning to move a significant portion of its iPhone production to India, threatening to impose a 25% tariff on these devices unless manufacturing shifts back to the U.S.
Concerns also linger regarding President Trump’s potential reactions to consumer dissatisfaction with the new mobile service or local competition. Throughout his presidency, Trump has utilized the federal government to reward allies and retaliate against adversaries. For example, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has initiated investigations into media outlets Trump has openly disparaged, including some he is actively suing. The FCC serves as the primary regulatory authority for mobile phone companies.
Monetary Gains for Trump & The Organization Amid Controversy
The Trump Organization’s mobile phone initiative coincides with a recent financial disclosure report that reveals how the president has been capitalizing on his celebrity status over the past year. Among his various ventures, he has earned $3 million from selling “Save America” coffee table books, $2.8 million from Trump-branded watches, and $2.5 million from his line of sneakers and fragrances.
Beyond personal profit, the president’s organization launched Trump Mobile shortly after securing multiple real estate agreements in April. These agreements include developments such as towers and resorts in the Middle East, along with a golf project in Qatar. Additionally, a partnership worth $1.5 billion to construct golf courses, hotels, and real estate developments in Vietnam was recently approved, although this deal was in progress prior to Donald Trump taking office.
A recent financial disclosure indicates that President Donald Trump made over $57 million last year from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency company co-founded by him and his sons in September 2024.
