A shocking shooting incident occurred overnight on the Virginia State University campus, resulting in five people injured, with one individual reported in critical condition.
According to campus police, officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Boisseau Street at approximately 1:28 AM. Upon arrival, they discovered five individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All injured parties were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals, where it was determined that four had sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while one remains in critical condition.

The Virginia State University police department confirmed that the shooting took place outside the Quad Annex buildings. In response, they issued a warning for all students to avoid the area while the campus was under lockdown. The lockdown has now been lifted.
