In the past year, Meta has been rapidly integrating artificial intelligence into its offerings, ranging from minor updates to the introduction of standalone applications. TechCrunch speculated that Pocket might be the result of Meta acquiring the team behind Gizmo, an app that leveraged AI to create interactive experiences based on user prompts. The Pocket app promotes itself as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” aligning with the functionality of Gizmo. the Play Store shortcode “com.facebook.gizmo” reinforces this connection.
