Peter Doocy Dodges Question on ‘Most Transparent’ President

During a recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Donald Trump playfully acknowledged Fox News reporter Peter Doocy. when Doocy was posed with the question of who he considers the most transparent president in history, he hesitated to respond.

Following the dinner, TMZ D.C.‘s Charlie Cotton interviewed Doocy and discussed Trump’s remarks. Cotton confirmed that Trump was inquiring about who he deemed the “most transparent president ever.” In a light-hearted exchange, Doocy remarked that he was actually asking Trump if he should stand up during the speech.

When pressed for his opinion on who the “most transparent president” is, Doocy cleverly sidestepped the question, instead expressing relief that Trump had not referred to him as a “son of a bitch.”

In case you missed it, former President Joe Biden infamously referred to Doocy as a “stupid son of a bitch” during a White House event on January 24, 2022, after Doocy questioned him about inflation and its effects on the upcoming midterm elections.

Doocy’s remarks followed the more intimate version of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C.

The original dinner had been rescheduled and placed under heightened security following an incident in April where a gunman fired shots inside the hotel where the White House media and administration officials were gathered.

This marked Trump’s first attendance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner during his presidency, as he had previously opted not to attend the event.

The evening appeared to unfold smoothly, with Trump in high spirits as he made jokes targeting CNN’s Kaitlan Collins regarding her alleged lack of enthusiasm, as well as poking fun at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, Bruce Springsteen, and various Democratic figures.
