A Los Angeles judge denied a restraining order petition filed against Jada Pinkett Smith by Will Smith’s alleged friend, Bilaal Salaam, as reported by TMZ.
Court documents reveal that the case brought by Bilaal Salaam was dismissed after both Jada and Bilaal testified in court.
The judge concluded that Bilaal did not present sufficient evidence to warrant a permanent restraining order against Jada, dismissing the case.
Bilaal previously claimed he suffered “serious emotional and mental harm” due to Jada’s alleged harassment, stating it caused him “extreme stress, anxiety, humiliation, and fear for my safety.”
Bilaal asserted that his relationship with Will is disputed in the documents. He claimed he had relocated abroad for “almost two years out of fear, isolating himself from family and support.”
He reported ongoing issues with “sleeplessness, depression, and constant fear of harm.”
As TMZ first reported, Bilaal filed a $3 million lawsuit against Jada over public comments made about him. He alleged that Jada confronted him at a private event, threatening him to cease discussing her family.
Bilaal claims that after he declined requests, Jada and Will’s social circle retaliated against him. The lawsuit remains pending, according to court records.
