“People are claiming that I was in the room when she passed — that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard… But when you know the truth, why feel the need to broadcast it?” he stated, directly addressing the internet allegations where he has been wrongfully accused of Houston’s untimely death.
As the dialogue progressed, Ray clarified that he was “nowhere near” Houston when she tragically passed away at the Beverly Hilton hotel on February 11, 2012. He emphasized that he was performing in “San Diego” at the time. Additionally, he revealed that he and Houston had plans to attend the Clive Davis event together, underscoring the closeness of their relationship.
