During our preview, Engadget’s Jessica Conditt described Firebreak as a promising and “incredibly fun” addition to the shooter genre, requiring just a bit of fine-tuning prior to its launch. She stated, “Firebreak is set to be a thoughtful and focused entry in the co-op shooter space, and it already serves as an engaging extension of Remedy’s signature blend of dark humor and absurdity,” underscoring its potential appeal to fans of the genre.
