Recently, DDG stirred up conversations online after he mentioned Halle Bailey during his livestream. He candidly expressed that he would have been thrilled to see her make a cameo in the film ‘Sinners’.
“You know who I think should’ve been in that movie? I think Halle should’ve been in that movie. I wish she would’ve got that. When I was watching I was like damn man, she would be good in this movie.”
He elaborated that his admiration for Halle might have been partly influenced by her performance in ‘The Color Purple’, where her singing and dancing skills shone brightly, making him feel she would be a perfect fit for the role.
“Maybe ’cause I seen her in ‘Color Purple’ that’s why I thought that, ’cause I was like damn. Cause it was a lot of singing and s**t, I was like she would’ve been perfect in that movie.” he elaborated, showcasing his enthusiasm for her talent.
