The PlayStation Network is currently facing significant disruptions, impacting users across all platforms. As of 7 PM Eastern Time, the network status page has been updated to indicate that many players may experience difficulties logging in or managing their accounts, regardless of the console they are using. Furthermore, attempts to access the network via computers or mobile devices have also been unsuccessful. The official notice states, “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.” Unfortunately, creating new accounts is not possible at this time. Players might also encounter challenges when trying to launch games or applications that require an internet connection, resulting in limited access to certain features and titles.
This network outage is understandably impacting the PlayStation Store, which means you will have to postpone any shopping activities. Currently, users are unable to purchase or redeem vouchers, and browsing for game titles is not an option. Additionally, new game downloads and updates are halted, leaving players in a frustrating situation. If you were in the middle of downloading something before the outage began, you may notice that progress has stalled, and no new updates will appear until service is restored.
