Bethenny Frankel Reveals Eye-Opening Experience at It Ends With Us Premiere
Bethenny Frankel is sharing exclusive insights and behind-the-scenes stories from the highly anticipated It Ends With Us premiere, shedding light on her unique experience.
The Real Housewives of New York City star detailed her surprisingly “off-putting” experience during the New York film premiere on TikTok, amidst ongoing legal disputes involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
“I have the craziest It Ends With Us premiere story that I completely forgot about, and I am piecing it together now,” Frankel shared, emphasizing that she refrained from discussing the incident earlier due to fear of backlash and potential “cancelation.”
The 54-year-old reality star explained that she attended the premiere alongside her colleague, Danielle, and they walked the red carpet before being informed there would be an hour intermission between the carpet and the screening.

“One thing I’ve never witnessed in over 20 years of attending film premieres… Now maybe that happens, but I’ve never seen anything like it,” she remarked, before revealing that she and Danielle opted to go out for margaritas instead.
Upon their return, she recounted running into one of Lively’s staff members, a person she had previously met.
“They seemed a bit distant and cold towards me,” Frankel remembered. “There was just an underlying vibe that made me think, ‘Wow, okay,’ which was noticeably different from how this person typically acts in other circumstances. It was slightly unsettling for both Danielle and me. We both picked up on it.”

As events unfolded, things escalated when Frankel headed back to the premiere event.
“So we walk upstairs and spot Anna Wintour. She walks past us, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’” she recalled. “Then as we continue walking, a guy approaches me and says, ‘Oh Bethenny, Justin [Baldoni], he was on your podcast.’ We exchanged greetings.”
Frankel admitted that she didn’t initially remember Baldoni, but she noted he was “very nice.” She then realized that Baldoni was in line for a screening in one theater, while Wintour was heading towards a different one.
“Typically, unless it’s an unusual situation, premieres are held in one large theater,” Frankel explained. “But in this instance, he was in a different theater, indicating something was amiss since I saw Anna heading in that direction.”

Frankel mentioned that she and Danielle found themselves seated in a theater where it felt as if “everyone” was distanced from one another.
“The atmosphere was off … so what I didn’t tell anyone, fearing I’d be canceled, was that we left,” she confessed, adding she believed she’d receive criticism for departing after walking the carpet without watching the film.
“The vibes weren’t right,” she explained regarding their decision to leave. “It felt like a waste of hair, makeup, and outfit, just to go to the city, sip a margarita from a mason jar, grab a bucket of popcorn, take two bites, see Anna Wintour, greet Justin Baldoni, and then head back to Connecticut.”
“Talk about disappointment,” she joked, expressing her initial excitement to see the movie.
She elaborated that “something was definitely off from the start, and it was noticeable to everyone present.”
“It felt like I was doing something wrong, but at the same time, it also felt like I was making the right choice,” she reflected on her decision to leave. “There was definitely something unsettling about the entire situation.”

Justin Baldoni Claims Blake Lively ‘Prevented’ Him from Attending It Ends With Us Premiere Amid ‘Embarrassing Situations’

Overview of the Ongoing Legal Battle
Last week, Baldoni initiated a staggering $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times regarding its coverage of Lively’s legal allegations. Lively subsequently filed her own federal lawsuit, where she reiterated claims of sexual harassment and alleged that Baldoni and others conspired to damage her reputation.
In his lawsuit, as reported by The New York Post, the actor accused Lively of “systematically sidelining” him from the movie’s promotional efforts, including an alleged attempt to exclude him from the film’s premiere in New York City.
“Additionally undermining Baldoni’s role, Lively initially refused to allow him to attend the film’s premiere,” the lawsuit stated, according to the publication. “Only under substantial pressure did she reluctantly permit Baldoni and the Wayfarer team to attend, but under humiliating circumstances.”
Among the alleged “conditions,” Baldoni claimed he was “segregated” from the rest of the cast during the premiere.
“The Wayfarer team and their families, including Baldoni and Heath, were separated from the main cast, barred from the exclusive after-party, and forced to organize their own event at an additional cost,” the lawsuit alleged.
He further recounted how he and his family were supposedly treated during the event.
“Baldoni’s time on the red carpet was cut short, and his family and friends were confined to a makeshift holding area in the basement before being escorted into a separate theater after Lively’s departure,” the lawsuit claimed. “Not only did Lively overshadow the film, but she also deprived Baldoni and his team of a genuine opportunity to celebrate their hard work.”
Lively’s legal representatives later issued a statement in response to the lawsuit’s allegations.
“Nothing in this lawsuit alters the claims made in Ms. Lively’s California Civil Rights Division Complaint, nor her federal complaint, filed earlier today,” the statement read. “This lawsuit is founded on the clearly false premise that Ms. Lively’s administrative complaint against Wayfarer and others was a ruse based on a decision ‘not to file a lawsuit against Baldoni, Wayfarer,’ and that ‘litigation was never her ultimate goal.’”
“As demonstrated by the federal complaint filed by Ms. Lively earlier today, the basis for the Wayfarer lawsuit is false,” the statement continued. “While we will not litigate this matter in the press, we encourage individuals to read Ms. Lively’s complaint in its entirety. We look forward to addressing each of Wayfarer’s allegations in court.”
